The URBAL project (Urban-driven food innovations for sustainable food systems) is pleased to invite you to the seminar on : “Impact assessment of food innovations”. The seminar is organized by the UNESCO Chair in World Food Systems (Montpellier SupAgro), Cirad, Wilfrid Laurier University, and Està.
Sustainable food system innovations are multiplying around the world. In order to better understand these food innovations and how they influence the sustainability of food systems, multiple impact assessment methods have emerged. During the seminar, different evaluation methods will be presented through five projects :
· SHARE CITY and SHARE IT tool (Anna Davies and Alwynne McGeever)
· SYALINNOV (Pierre Leray)
· CosyFood (Joris Van Mol)
· URBAL (Élodie Valette and Olivier Lepiller)
· Sustainable Food Places (Alizée Marceau)
The aim of this seminar is to examine how multiple assessment approaches help us understand the impact of food innovations. It will also be an opportunity to share knowledge from different countries and to reflect on the ways that food innovations help build more sustainable food systems.
In addition to the panelists presenting on project specific evaluation methods, we are happy to welcome Étienne Hainzelin (Cirad) as a seminar discussant. É. Hainzelin will bring his unique perspective as one of the coordinators of the ImpresS initiative to the discussion.
The seminar will be in English and registration is required. Please register here before February 9th, 2021.
